Top 10 Songs That Mention Cereal

Everyone knows that cereal is the best. You can eat it anytime of the day and you’d be all like “Yum” because it is the best. There are so many different varieties and I can’t think of a single one (with the exception of original Grapenuts) that isn’t delicious. It’s no wonder why there are so many songs that pay tribute to the delightful food. Here are the top 10 songs that mention cereal. Listen to each of them, they’rrrre GR-R-REAT! (sorry.)

10. A Little Bit Cooler - The Cool Kids

Out of all the hip hop songs that make reference to cereal, this is the best. Although I disagree. Fruity Pebbles is definitely gansta. Especially when you drink the pink milk when you’re done.

9. Lucky Charms - The Moldy Peaches

“The Guy from Lucky Charms?” - THE GUY? Um, he has a name - Lucky the Leprechaun. And he certainly doesn’t need you chasing him since he’s already caught up with trying to protect his cereal from everyone that wants to steal it.

8. Applejack - Dolly Parton

Ok, this song isn’t really about the cereal Apple Jacks, but if you pretend Dolly is singing about the torrid love affair she’s having with the Bad Apple and the strange Jamaican cinnamon stick, CinnaMon (seen here), it starts to make sense.

7. Fruit Loop Dreams - Shonen Knife

Awww, what a cute, whimsical song. Too bad the video kinda sucks. Here’s the lyrics so you can really live the dream.

6. Cornflake Girl - Tori Amos

Teenage feminists and lesbians rejoice! Tori Amos made the list! Unfortunately she loses points because this song is not actually about cereal. If you can tell me what this song is actually about, I’ll give you a bowl of Cornflakes. Milk not included.

5. I like cereal - Chops

Is this real? Apparently this was in a movie called Ping Pong Playa. Is that real? Apparently it is. Glad we settled that.

4. Friday - Rebecca Black

The moment where she robotically states “Gotta have my bowl. Gotta have cereal.” you know it’s gonna be bad.

3. Iesha - Another Bad Creation

Man, these kids were cute. Now…not so much. This song is directly responsible for me being disappointed every time I didn’t eat cereal on a first date.

2. Milk and Cereal - G. Love & Special Sauce

A touching and somewhat confusing love song to cereal. Why can’t Grandma have cereal though?

1. Milky Cereal - LL Cool J

This one obviously takes the milk, bowl & spoon. Songs with cereal sexual innuendos are hard to come by, but this song seems to cover them all with ease.
